Edited: I downgraded them to one star instead of three because my husband called them to inform them about the bad mattress and the back pain it caused us. The person who answered my husband call try to handle him without giving us any proper solution and said he would call him back and never did. For the record we ended up getting a new mattress from one of the referrals we found in the mattressunderground forum and we are very pleased with it. Let me start with customer service here. The staff are amazing. That is one of the things I was looking for in a furniture store. However, this bad review is because of the quality of mattress in the store . I bought a Sealy full mattress set with cushioned top for about $800 which was ay over my budget. I paid that much because it was for my kid, and I wanted to invest in a quality mattress. I trusted that they would have the best choice of mattresses away from all the worthless overpriced mattress sham game. After I brought the mattress home, I switched with mine because the bed I bought was high for my son, so I slept on the mattress for the past 6 months. Let me tell you that this by far the worst mattress I have used in my life. It hurt my lower back, and I can not imagine what if I didn't realize this and left my son to sleep on it without knowing how bad it was. Very disappointed with their no return policy for mattresses which I appreciated at the beginning , but later didn't. This mattress is not staying at my house anymore. What a waste of $800. I would suggest that they should test the quality of mattresses before they sell it. I trusted that such store with good quality furniture would have the same quality for their mattresses.This would have been one star review, but because of the nice and helpful staff I gave it three.
The selection is enormous. The prices are better than brand name stores. Customer service was off the chart fabulous. Michael was the salesperson who helped us. He was not pushy, listened to our needs and wants. Directed us. He did not hover but was there when we had questions. A great experience.
I give Brownlee's Furniture 5 stars. I'd give them 6 stars if I could! We LOVE our new sofa and chair and a half. They have a great selection of high quality furniture at reasonable prices. They let you take large fabric swatches home so you can see how they in your room's lighting. We were able to find the perfect fabric for our room. The couch and chair are extremely well made and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They treat you more like family than a customer - like customer service USED to be "back in the day." I went to many furniture stores before I found Brownlee's. Brownlee's was by far the best! If you don't live close to Lawrenceville go there anyway :) - it will be worth the drive!
I bought a table and chair set in Michigan 33 years ago and just recently commented on how well it had held up. The table looks like the day I bought it and the chairs too. A few backs are just slightly starting to loosen but really, 33 yrs. and we are not a light weight family! Anyways, I was just cleaning them and found a label on the bottom of one of the chairs that says, "American Charms Furniture"309 Maltbie St, Lawrenceville Georgia. I wonder if this is the same store or if this is who made the table. The address is exactly the same, just curious. Anyways. Great great set!!
Excellent service before, during, and after the sale. I had a little mix up with the furniture I ordered. Brownlee's made it right, even though it was partially my own fault! The price that I paid for my sofa was very competitive with online prices and I was able to customize it to my own tastes. Thank you, Brownlee's! I will be back!
